Week 2
Division 1 of the Didcot and District Table Tennis Association sees Didcot C take and early lead after opening with two victories. Their first week triumph was followed up by a 7-3 win over Letcombe A with Steve Dobbins securing a second straight maximum. Drayton A moved into second place with another victory after seeing off Moreton A 6-4 despite a Paul Cheong treble.
Howbery B are setting the early pace in Division 2 after a Markus Wagner inspired 7-3 win over Drayton D maintained their winning start. Abingdon C have also made an unbeaten start with another Mike Aistrop maximum helping them to a 7-3 win over Upton A. A Jim Stevenson maximum was enough to help Moreton B to a 5-5 draw with Drayton C while three wins for Pete Wiblin ensured Sutton A overcame Didcot D.
The first games in Division 3 saw Mark Ghafoor lead his Abingdon D side to a 5-5 draw with Letcombe B, while Terry Hardie and Lionel Shepherd each secured a hat trick as Didcot F came away from Didcot E with a 9-1 win. Meanwhile, Abingdon E put paid to club mates Abingdon F with an emphatic 10-0 victory.
Division 4 saw Moreton D stride to the top of the table after their opening week 10-0 win over Grove but this was quickly followed by 9-1 defeat to Wallingford this week. Lucian Danaila opened his account with three wins as Sutton D put paid to Abingdon H 8-2 while Tony Prior and Jill Vale both hit maximums for Letcombe C in an 8-2 win over Abingdon H.
Finally, Moreton E made a winning start in Division 5 with a 10-0 win over Moreton F.
