Week 4

Didcot B have moved to the top of Division 1 of the Didcot and District Table Tennis Association. A 7-3 win over Didcot C, featuring maximums from both Eddie Herrity and Rob Hudson, was enough to ease them past Drayton A in the table. Didcot A kept up the pace with an 8-2 victory over RAL B with Greg Donovan hitting a treble. Abingdon A also had a successful week after Sebastian Huygen hit three wins to inspire them to a 6-4 win over RAL A.

Division 2 sees Howbery B leading the way after an 8-2 win over Moreton B. John Talbot and Markus Wagner both hit a hat trick to send them clear of Howbery B, who overcame Drayton D 7-3 thanks to a John Birkin maximum. The closest challengers to the top two spots both dropped points this week as Abingdon C and RAL C played out a 5-5 draw with only Mike Aistrop coming through unbeaten for the Abingdon side. Didcot D had James Lovelock to thank as his treble helped to secure a 6-4 win over Drayton C. However, the Drayton side made up for it with a 6-4 win over Sutton A, featuring a Geoff Cherrill maximum. Sutton B also put paid to Sutton A as Vincent Yang went unbeaten in a 7-3 victory.

Didcot F remain in the lead in Division 3 despite Abingdon E closing the gap on the leaders after a Geoff Burton treble helped them to an 8-2 win over Moreton C. Sutton C have also moved into contention at the top as Alistair Nicholson went unbeaten in an impressive 8-2 win over Didcot E.

Division 4 has an unbeaten Wallingford setting the pace as Tony Quinn and Peter Holland both hit trebles in a 7-3 win over Grove. Abingdon G are hot on their heels as Dan Cruse and Aubrey Hughes also secured maximums as they overcame Drayton F 8-2. Tony Prior maintained his impressive start to the season for Letcombe C as they dispatched RAL F with ease in an 8-2 win.

RAL G remain unbeaten at the top of Division 5 following a 6-4 win over RAL G. Milad Arjenah kept up his 100% start to the season with another three wins. Robert Lott continues to push him at the top of the individual rankings as another maximum helped his Upton B side to a 10-0 win over Moreton F.
