Week 15

Drayton A have opened up a lead in the race for the title in Division 1 of the Didcot and District Table Tennis Association. A 9-1 win over Letcombe A enabled them to pull away from second placed Didcot B who secured a 6-4 win over Letcombe A themselves. Meanwhile, a Neil Hurford treble helped RAL A to a 6-4 win over Abingdon A and Matthew Davies hit three wins as Drayton B drew 5-5 with Moreton A.

Didcot D remain in pole position in Division 2 despite RAL C recording an 8-2 win over Abingdon C, thanks in part to Bill Masons maximum. Drayton D have kept up the pressure on the top two with an impressive 10-0 win over Howbery A and Sutton B moved into contention with an 8-2 win of their own over Upton A. Howbery B also secured a win this week as three wins from John Talbot helped them to a 6-4 win over Moreton B.

Another emphatic win for Abingdon E has kept them top of Division 3. Three more wins for individual leader Geoff Burton and a maximum for David Smart helped them to a 9-1 win over Moreton C. Sutton C remain in touch with the leaders following a 10-0 win over Abingdon F and a close fought 6-4 victory over Letcombe B, with both wins featuring maximums for Gavin Bosse. Drayton E remain in third place having eased past Moreton C with a 6-4 win. Eric Thomas also hit a maximum this week as his RAL D side came away from Didcot F with a 6-4 victory and Abingdon D had a successful week as they returned from RAL E with a comfortable 9-1 win.

Wallingford remain firmly in control of Division 4 having hit another 10-0 win this week. The unbeaten leaders sent Grove home with no reward and opened up a six point lead over Letcombe C. Third placed Abingdon G overcame Drayton F 6-4 with Ryota Goto scoring a treble and then put paid to Moreton D by the same score with Aubrey Hughes hitting three wins.

RAL G have closed the gap on leaders Upton B in Division 5 after they hit Moreton F hard in a 10-0 win. Elsewhere, James Cox hit a maximum for Abingdon I in a 5-5 draw with Drayton G.
