Week 10

Drayton A remain in charge in Division 1 of the Didcot and District Table Tennis Association with Didcot B now moving into contention. A Rob Hudson maximum inspired the Didcot side to an 8-2 victory over RAL B and helped move them to within a point of the lead. Joe Cheong and Nick Pattman also hit trebles this week as they helped Moreton A to ease past Abingdon B in an 8-2 win. The week turned worse for the Abingdon side as they then went down 7-3 to Abingdon A with Sebastian Huygen hitting a hat trick. Didcot C experienced a more successful week as they put paid to Drayton B, with Steve Dobbins hitting three wins in a 7-3 victory.

Meanwhile, Didcot D closed the gap on the leaders in Division 2. The Didcot side scored an impressive 6-4 victory over previously unbeaten RAL C with James Lovelock maintaining his 100% record. Drayton C moved into third place as a Geoff Cherill maximum helped them to a 5-5 draw with Upton A. Sutton B also kept up their winning ways as they came away from Moreton B with a 7-3 win with Vincent Yang hitting another treble to send him to the top if the individual rankings. Elsewhere, Drayton D had a positive week as John Gould inspired the mto a 7-3 win over Sutton A and John Talbot hit three wins in a 7-3 win for Howbery B over Abingdon C.

Abingdon E have maintained their lead in Division 3 despite being held to a 5-5 draw by Drayton E and had yet another Geoff Burton maximum to thank for their share of the points. Abingdon D also had a successful week as Mark Ghafoor hit a hat trick in their 6-4 win over RAL D and Didcot E came away from RAL E with a 6-4 win as Hiten Patels maximum for the RAL side could not help prevent them sliding to defeat.

This week sees new leaders in Division 4 as a busy week for Letcombe C saw them rack up three emphatic wins. A 10-0 thrashing of Drayton F was followed up by an 8-2 win over Grove with Tony Prior hitting a treble in both matches. Prior then hit three more wins alongside a Phil Richards maximum in a 9-1 win over Abingdon G. The Abingdon side then put this out of their minds as they put paid to Abingdon H with an 8-2 win of their own thanks to a treble from Aubrey Hughes. Moreton D kept up the pace at the top of the table with a 6-4 win over Letcombe D containing a Paul Rushton maximum and followed this up with an 8-2 win over Abingdon H thanks to three wins from Bob Price. They then completed a memorable week by overcoming Drayton F by 7-3 as Rushton hit another full house. Sutton D also saw success this week as they secured a 6-4 win over Grove thanks to a maximum from Lucian Danaila and Drayton F played out a 5-5 draw with RAL F with Derek Nichols hit three wins for the Drayton side.

Division 5 sees RAL G lead the way with Abingdon J moving into third place after an emphatic 10-0 win over Moreton F.
