Week 10
After last week�s fine win Upton came back down to earth with a bump losing 10-0 to Marlborough B. Meanwhile RAL A continued their serene progress at the top of the division with a 10-0 hammering of the RAL B side. Mathew Davies maximum could not stave off defeat for Drayton A as they went down 6-4 to Letcombe A. Sam Rick�s maximum helped Marlborough A to an 8-2 win against Moreton A for whom only Charlie lane picked up any points. RAL A still lead the division with the three Marlborough sides fighting it out for second place, with Marlborough C currently holding the position. Upton and Marlborough D seem to be losing touch at the bottom of the division.
In division 2 Matt Isherwood�s maximum could not help Moreton C as they went down 6-4 to Sutton A, a result that puts Sutton A third in the division. Moreton B also suffered their second defeat going down 7-3 to a revitalized Drayton B side. Brian Wyborn�s maximum helped RAL C to a 7-3 win over the all Romanian Sutton C team. Moreton B still head the division from Abingdon A.
In division 3 Tim Petts�s maximum helped salvage a draw for RAL D against Abingdon B. Arthur Anstis�s maximum helped table topping Hanney A to a tight 6-4 win over Wallingford B whilst Duncan Vales�s maximum for Letcombe B helped them keep up the pressure at the top with a 6-4 win over a weakened Abingdon C, a result which leaves Abingdon C now bottom of the division. Christopher Lowry�s maximum helped Drayton D to victory over Sutton C.
Both matches in division 4 this week were very one sided affairs with bottom side Lecombe C going down 8-2 to Drayton E leaving them somewhat adrift at the bottom of the division.
In division 5 Monika Graham�s maximum helped Sandford A to a 7-3 win over Abingdon B. Hanney B consolidated their position at the top of the division with a 9-1 hammering of Moreton E.
