Matthew Davies` maximum led Drayton A to an 8-2 win over Letcombe A, who were however missing their star player Richard Taylor it has to be said. Marlborough B moved to the top of Division 1 with a 9-1 win over Moreton B, they do need however to stop dropping points with the doubles matches. A perhaps surprising result in the Marlborough C against Moreton A match was the usually reliable Ray Powell dropping two matches.
In Division 2 a fine maximum from Gavin Bosse gave Sutton C the draw against Drayton C. The bottom of division 2 is still quite tight with only 5 points separating the bottom 4 teams. Upton moved back to the top of the table thanks to John Talbot�s maximum in their 7-3 win over Sutton B. Sutton B may have been tired after two matches in a week as they managed a fine 6-4 win over a strong RAL C side thanks to maximums from Claudiu Silaghi and Lucien Danaila. Upton and Drayton B have now opened up a 8-point gap at the top of the division so it would appear that these two will be fighting it out for the top spot.
In Division 3 Tim Pett�s maximum could not stop RAL D going down 6-4 to top side Grove A. Chris Hasker managed a maximum for Wallingford A in their 8-2 win over Abingdon C. Wallingford B�s win over Drayton E now moves the top two sides in the division 10 points clear of the chasing pack. Duncan Vale�s maximum for Letcombe B was also in a losing cause as they went down 6-4 to Grove A who maintained their lead at the top of the division but Wallingford B have a game in hand over them.
In Division 4 Jack Swindell�s maximum gave Moreton E a draw against bottom side Abingdon D. Second placed side Marlborough F kept up the pressure on Sandford A at the top with a 7-3 win over Sandford B thanks to Denis Hickman�s maximum. The top of the division is now very tight with Sandford A and Marlborough F in the top spots but Hanney have games in hand over them and only 6 points separate the top 5 teams.
